Advocates for Children offers education opportunities for children and youth as well as for parents and professionals.
For Children & Youth
Our school-based education programs teach children skills and information to keep them safe from abuse. Our educators work with children, encouraging them to solve problems without violence.
Our classroom-based prevention programs for children and youth cover topics including:

We also offer mediation training for children and youth (grades 4 and up).
For Parents & Professionals
We provide educational opportunities for parents and professionals as well, providing up-to-date information on child abuse and neglect, and on ways adults can help keep the children in their lives safe.
Advice and Assistance
When faced with a difficult situation involving abuse, we can help connect you to community resources and provide information.
Parent Information Nights
are designed to familiarize parents with Advocates for Children's classroom programs and prevention concepts.
Parent Workshops
are designed to provide parents with education and information. Specific topics include: How to Talk to Your Kids About Body Safety, Fighting Fair for Families, and Protecting Your Children Online.
Professional Development Training Programs
for professionals through workshops and in-service trainings about child abuse and conflict resolution. Specific topics include: Mandated Reporter, Understanding & Responding to Sexual Behaviors, Conflict Resolution, Bullying Prevention and Online Child Exploitation.
Responding to Child Abuse,
a 45-hour course dealing with various aspects of child abuse, and providing information on local resources and intervention/prevention services. Designed for educators, child care providers, and other professionals working with children. Participants receive continuing education credits.
