Advocates for Children is a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of child abuse. Since 1978, we have supported Androscoggin County families through education, outreach, and advocacy.

Our Parent Resource Center (PRC) is an invaluable resource for families with children at any developmental stage. Throughout the year, the PRC offers interactive parent-child playgroups, an extensive lending library, and many events and workshops on various parenting topics.

Cans & Bottles

Here's an EASY way to help Advocates for Children: Bring your returnable cans & bottles to any Shaw's location in Maine during the entire month of APRIL. They have special boxes set up to collect the donated cans and bottles.

Proceeds from the event are shared with Advocates for Children and will be used for programs for parents and children in Androscoggin County.

Thanks, Shaw's, for supporting our work!
