A Course in Responding to Child Abuse

Responding to Child Abuse is a 13 week course appropriate for anyone caring for or working with children and families. Learn more about programs and resources you can access to prevent and address child abuse and neglect.
Experts in their respective fields will present current information including:
- The Department of Health and Human Services
- Law Enforcement and the Judicial System
- The Medical Community
- Foster Care and Adoption
- Family Violence and Substance Abuse
- Sex Offenders and Treatment
- Programs and resources for children of all ages and their families, and more!
The course begins on September 8 at Central Maine Community College in Auburn from 5:30-8:30pm. 4.5 CEUs are available upon completion of the course. Participants will be required to complete assigned reading, 3 reaction papers and a final presentation.
